Jobs R Us

ASSESSING AND FILLING YOUR NEEDS

STEP 1

When Jobs R Us discovers an open position in a business or if the agency is contacted with a request to hire a person, a Job Developer analyzes many aspects of the position: the anticipated start date, the work schedule, the expected duties to be performed, the location, and the culture (i.e., the "personality" of the work environment and the co-workers) of the work site.

STEP 2

After a thorough analysis of the new work site, the Job Development team discusses the most ideal candidates for the job (there is usually at least one in mind when the Job Developer identifies a new opportunity).  Job Developers rely on extensive information known about every individual: the information lists vocational preferences, schedule availability, strengths, and the evaluated level of a range of skills.  The Job Development team typically decides on one, two, or three people who would likely succeed at the work site, and the employer is encouraged to make the final decision.

STEP 3

The employer meets the candidate(s) recommended by Jobs R Us in either a formal or informal interview.  During this time, the employer has the opportunity to discuss the person's experience and ability to perform the duties of the job.  If requested by the person being considered for employment, a Job Developer will also be present to observe the interview and answer questions about the Jobs R Us program.

STEP 4

If satisfied with a candidate, the business will make a job offer, and the candidate will likely accept the job offer. At this time, the employer has hired this person, just as the employer would hire any other employee.  NOTE: THOUGH THERE IS NO COST TO HIRE EMPLOYEES THROUGH JOBS R US, BUSINESSES DO PAY WAGES TO THE EMPLOYEES.

Once a person is hired through Jobs R Us, the person is assigned a Job Coach who will assist the business in training the new employee and will ensure total completion of tasks even on the first day of work.

The new employee will also be assigned a Jobs R Us Rehabilitation Coordinator who will routinely evaluate the Job Coach's reports and make sure that the employee is becoming an integral and valuable part of the business that has hired him/her.

Additionally, Job Developers will always be available to employers if there are any concerns not being resolved by the employee or Job Coach.

When Jobs R Us places a person into a company, we work WITH you to make sure it is successful for both you and the employee!
